WMG Summer Camp
We are planning to have a great summer camp with lots of fun and learning! We will incorporate large motor activities, arts and crafts and cool, theme-based snacks. When needed, we will adjust activities within the themes for the various age levels (preschool versus elementary school). . . all will learn and all will have fun!
The lead summer director, Tamila Walker, has experience teaching science to 5th - 8th grades as well as teaching the arts and preschool students. She also has a love of history. She believes that it is most important to have fun learning and that is what we will do! Don't wear your best clothes! Some of our events will be messy as we discover the world around us!
Staff to Child ratio will be: 1 to 10
All Staff will have current CPR and First Aid Training
The Basics
Schedule: We request that children who chose to come for a specific camp, come each day for at least the morning session. We are open every day from 8:30- 5:30; so child care along with camp is available.
Cost: A.M. only: $20 per day ($100 per session) All day: $40 per day ($200 per session)* * Discount available for children who are all day, every day.
Application Fee (covers snack, art and science supplies for the summer): *If WMG receives the application and fee on or before by May 31st, the fee is $30. *If WMG receives the application and fee after May 31st, the fee is $35.
Lunch: Is not provided. You may bring your own lunch. We have refrigerator and microwave available.
Snacks: We will offer a snack in the morning and afternoon session
Sun block: Please put sun block on your child each morning and provide a hat.
Water Bottles: Please bring a water bottle each day.
Change of Clothes: Please include a change of clothes in case your child gets wet or messy. Please have your child wear play clothes... During science weeks, we will be getting messy --- guaranteed!
