Express Yourself!

Everyone loves the movies right?  Children will discover what it takes to put on a play in front of the camera!   Actors from Kit Kittredge will put their play on as they are video taped.  Other  children will be involved in sound effects,  set design and costumes.  Everyone will have the opportunity to be in front of the camera as we will have a singing, dancing and puppet time.  For those who are a bit more  shy, they will have the behind the scenes roles if they so desire!   It is a fun time for children to express themselves in a safe environment.

 Design and Invent!

After learning about the wonderful inventions of the early 1900's, we will explore inventing ourselves.  We will look at important inventions -- how so many (like the hula hoop and the frisbee) are such simple ideas, but were so much fun!  We will come up with our own "inventions" and describe how they look.  We will draw pictures and explain in writing or on video how they work.   Children will also explore the concepts of cause and effect when working with Marbleworks and Leggos.  Tami, the director's dad, is an inventor so Tami will have special insight on the world of inventing!
