About Us
Jana and Tamila are sister-in-laws, directors, owners and teachers at Watch Me Grow. They began the school when Tami's little girl, Keaton, was only 13 months old. Now Keaton is in 5th grade at Harbor Light Christian School. Tami is married to Tom Walker Jr. Jana's little miracle baby, Lorin, is almost 3 years old. Lorin' has already made her television debut on the Devos Children's Miracle Network. In Jana and Tamila's "spare" time, they travel and sing Southern Gospel Music with Tom. Tamila and Jana also train teachers across the Great Lakes Region in Zoo-phonics. They love children and teaching!

Dear Parents,
We began Watch Me Grow almost 10 years ago with the vision to create a wonderful atmosphere where young children can grow and learn. We wanted children to have fun learning in a place that was warm and caring. We are so happy to say that Watch Me Grow is just the kind of place we wanted it to be. Kindergarten teachers all over the area tell us and our former WMG parents how well the children from Watch Me Grow are doing. We are excited about what we do each day. Although we continually strive for greater goals, we still have remained steadfast about creating a place where children love to be and love to learn.
Watch Me Grow is about family. We work in partnership with parents. We believe that parents are the first and most important teacher a child will ever have. We count it a privilege to be a part of children's lives and strive to meet the needs of families with flexible schedules, various forms of communication and family activities.
Miss Sandra teaches our youngest class (young 3's) A few years ago she did her student teaching with us. join Watch Me Grow as an aide. She has finished her Early Childhood Degree and has joined us full time. She is very kind and caring. She often tells us how much fun she is having teaching the children. The children love her. She is a great teacher and gets excited at their progress.
Mr. Tom is an afternoon aide and morning substitute (when needed).
He only works part time as he is also the music director at Trinity Missionary Church. He has a music background and helps with the school performances. He is great with children. He is a wonderful role model and they look up to him.
All of our staff have had background checks (State Police and DHS) and have had first aid and CPR Training. They have a minimum of 12 clock hours of early childhood training a year.
We team teach the other two classes: the zooligans (older 3's ) and the zoocrew (4/5 year olds). Tami covers the zoophonics, pre math skills, and science. Jana covers the art and fine motor skills. We love what we do. We strive to make learning fun. Everything we do has more than one purpose. If we are making an apple while learning what /a/ says, we are also practicing ripping skills when making the project.
We look forward to the opportunity of being part of your child's growth. Preschool years are a vital time where children learn so much! We believe that we will help you provide a positive attitude toward school. Please feel free to contact us anytime with questions. We are at your service!
Sincerely,
Jana and Tamila Walker
